K. Thomas Bailey
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. K. Thomas Bailey is Angiotech's Chief Executive Officer, and has been serving as CEO since October 2011 after leading the company through a successful restructuring and recapitalization. Prior to being named CEO, Mr. Bailey served as Angiotech's CFO since 2005, and as VP Business Development since 2003. Prior to joining Angiotech in 2003, he worked for over a decade as an investment banker, most recently as leader of the biotechnology practice group at Credit Suisse First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he advised on over 50 completed transactions for biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, including mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances and a wide range of equity, equity-linked and debt financings, and worked with the firm's merchant banking and venture capital groups to identify and complete significant investments in life sciences companies.
Mr. Bailey received his AB in Economics from Harvard University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Tammy Neske
Chief Business Officer
Ms. Tammy Neske is Angiotech's Chief Business Officer. She has over 15 years experience building and growing technology-based organizations both organically and through acquisition, locally and globally. Prior to joining Angiotech, Ms. Neske worked at Ballard Power Systems, Inc., a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells. During her career at Ballard, Ms. Neske participated in several major transactions, restructured and integrated European operations and was responsible for providing leadership, program development and management of global compensation and employment related programs for over 1,700 employees. Previously, she built and led Human Resources at Mainframe Entertainment during its growth as an industry leader in CG animation for TV and film.
Ms. Neske received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia and a MA in Organization Development from the Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California.
Steven Bryant
Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Steve Bryant is Angiotech's Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing. He has over 30 years of global health care sales, marketing and operations management experience in the medical device industry. He is responsible for overseeing commercial activities for Angiotech's specialty medical device product lines, including: ophthalmic, microsurgery, dental, core sutures, interventional soft tissue biopsy, private label and OEM products.
Mr. Bryant's previous medical device experience includes eight years with Angiotech/Surgical Specialties in Reading, PA where he served as the Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Angiotech's Specialty business vertical which included ophthalmic products, as well as its dental and microsurgical suture product lines. Prior to Angiotech's acquisition of American Medical Instruments Holdings, Mr. Bryant held the role of Vice President, Sales & Marketing within Surgical Specialties. Previously, Mr. Bryant was President of IBMD International BioMedical Devices in Charleston, SC as well as a consultant and advisor to medical device companies on international acquisition, consolidation, and reorganization. He also held senior sales and marketing roles at Chiron Vision, Inc. in Irvine, CA; IntraOptics, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL; and CILCO, Inc. in Huntington, WV. Over a period of 18 years, he was responsible for the international sales, marketing and distribution of these company's ophthalmic medical devices and the commercial activities of several of their OUS subsidiaries.
Mr. Bryant received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Victor Diaz
Executive Vice President, Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management
Mr. Victor Diaz is Angiotech's Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management. He has over 20 years experience in the healthcare, medical device, and medical instrument industries. Prior to joining Angiotech, Mr. Diaz was Vice President, Global Operations at Teleflex Medical, the medical device and instrument manufacturing division of Teleflex Corporation. During his career at Teleflex, Mr. Diaz led a staff of 4,200 and was responsible for the global manufacturing, procurement, distribution and complete supply chain with 25 plants and 23 distribution centres in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the United States. Previously, Mr. Diaz served as Vice President of Manufacturing at both Kendall Healthcare, a subsidiary of Tyco Healthcare, and Tyco Healthcare Respiratory. He has a great deal of experience dealing with FDA compliant ISO and EN certified plants across Europe, Asia and North America.
Mr. Diaz received a BA in Chemistry from the Universidad Autonoma de Baja, California.
